About this opportunity

Welcome to the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence team. We add value by delivering the future Data & Analytics platforms and solutions for Nordea Wholesale Banking. We deliver on multiple data platforms (Oracle & MapR), as well as on many enterprise and self-service data integration and analytical platforms. As a Data & Analytics Manager, you’ll play a valuable role in combining your excellent leadership skills with your technical experience within the data & analytics. The team you will be leading will be a mix of data engineers/back-end developers and front-end developers. As the team is not yet complete, we expect you to take part in building/hiring your team – preferably leveraging your local network.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading a team of 10-15 Data and analytics professionals (developers/engineers)
  • Engaging, coaching and empowering project team members
  • Providing technical leadership and ensuring quality and velocity in our development

You’ll join Data Warehouse & BI, where we are delivering the future Data & Analytics platforms and solutions for Nordea Wholesale Banking. The role is based in Gdansk.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
  • 5+ years’ experience in Data & analytics as developer/engineer
  • 3+ years’ experience as a leader within DW and/or analytics
  • Higher education in IT
Your experience and background:
  • Very strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Analytics and streaming technologies
  • Experience as a Scrum Master (certification is not critical)
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience in one or more of following technologies: DataStage, Talend, Informatica, Apache Spark
  • Nice to have skills/experience: MapR, Kafka, Oracle RDBMS, Microsoft PowerBI, Alteryx
