Senior IT Developer, Gdańsk
We are looking for a skilled developer with a mindset for data as an asset and data management. This is an opportunity for you to be at the front of the development of the strategic Data Management platform.
We’re harnessing the power of technology to reinvent the future of data management in banking. A digital revolution is underway – joining us puts you at the heart of it.
Working with skilled, international teams in a fast-paced and inspiring working environment, you’ll play a part in making us truly digital.
More than just a Nordic bank, we’re one of the largest IT employers in Tricity and Warsaw. You’ll have lots of opportunities to expand your abilities and advance your career. Will you help us lead the way in transforming the future of banking?
Your future responsibilities
You’ll join Data Management Technology, where we are building the future strategic platform for providing Nordea with instrument static and price data.
What you’ll be doing:
Work closely with business analysts and subject matter experts in a cross-country SCRUM team. You’ll have a critical part in defining the direction we are going in, you’ll help business define their requirements and help them refine their user stories.
Once defined and refined, you will be in developing the needed functionality on our vendor platform – the MarkIT EDM. We are implementing the platform and tailoring it to our specific needs. Data is loaded from various vendors, transformed into the canonical data model and then exposed in a subset on to our Apache Kafka implementation. You will be part of the entire delivery chain, from the initial requirements gathering, over the implementation and into deployment to production. On top of the work to be carried out on the platform, there will be some .NET tasks – either in supporting programs or on the tactical solutions. Interacting with our stakeholders when implementing is a crucial part of our work, so expect to learn a lot – not just the IT skills but also stakeholder management and communication skills.
The role is based in Gdansk. Welcome to a team where we do IT slightly different. Communication, collaboration and ownership are at the core of our values. If we commit to something, we will deliver it, and we will make sure we are transparent about our progress.
Who you are
Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the four key values that guide us in being at our best. We imagine that you enjoy learning and are excited about bringing your ideas to the table. You’re dependable, willing to speak up – even when it’s difficult – and committed to empowering others.
Your profile and background:
Developer with a data mindset, you understand data modelling and know how to work with SQL databases and perhaps you even have knowledge about the MarkIT EDM platform. You understand the concepts of ETL, and you have a high standard and are willing to take on new challenges and learn.
Understanding banking is not required, but beneficial when interacting with stakeholders and/or business partners.
