Senior IT Analyst, Gdansk

Your future responsibilities
You will join a team, which is responsible for delivering state-of-the-art derivatives risk platform and supporting the improvements in other existing derivatives systems. The team is focusing heavily on use in the new systems of modern technologies and tools like micro services, cloud computing, data grid, and in-memory analytics and improving other legacy systems. Our aim is to create highly scalable and flexible risk systems allowing our partners in the trading area to react with speed on new business opportunities and on demands from new regulation.
You will be a key member of our agile cross-functional team of talented and very skilled people, working closely with the business teams in capital markets. You will be working at our Nordea office in Gdansk where you will take a leading role for one or more components in the infrastructure supporting calculations for derivatives trading on the trading floor.
You will act as the link of our technical team with the business, helping to communicate in an accurate manner the business requirements and helping to implement them in the system. You have to be able to do both: very hands-on daily tasks and be able to do more project-management like tasks and should be used to working towards demanding deadline.
The role is based in Gdansk.

- Good knowledge and experience with risk and/or derivatives trading systems
- Good communication skills and ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and understandable way
- Experience with agile methodologies
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Advantageous qualifications:
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB and Cassandra) databases
- Relevant university qualifications
