Team Leader in Mainframe Application Support, Gdańsk

We are looking for a Team Lead for Mainframe Application Support in Gdańsk. The current team consists of 6 employees but will grow along the ongoing recruitments up to about 10 team members.

Your future responsibilities

 
You’ll join TOS Mainframe Application Support Team, which has the overall vision of running stable and scalable IT services cost efficiently. We run Nordea IT Operations across Nordea’s geographies and business divisions. We enable the millions of transactions that our customers send through our systems every day. We are a highly-specialised operations organization with a very strong emphasis on quality of our IT services.
 
What you’ll be doing:  
 
  • Lead and build further an operational support team with IBM Mainframe  
  • Handle the transition of creating a unit that gradually will take over tasks from the Application Development areas 
  • Support applications in various models (Manage Service, Internal hosted) 
  • Stakeholder management 
  • Budgeting and controlling 
The role is based in Gdańsk.

Your profile and background: 
 
  • Hands on experience in leading and developing employees, preferably in an international technology company 
  • Excellent people management skills and an ability to achieve results via processes across organizations 
  • Experience in the financial sector 
  • Experience with Mainframe technologies and ITIL Foundation certificate will be considered as an advantage 
  • Exceptional skills in stakeholder management, empowering people to act and employees to perform 
  • Fluent English (spoken and written) is a must
