Data Engineer, Gdansk
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer. Your primary responsibilities will be to develop/deliver BI/analytical solutions to internal Nordea Trading Technology business units. This will include development on our MapR/Spark ecosystem as well as our Oracle Data Warehouse. Your technical expertise will span across general purpose Data Warehouse as well as big data/streaming analytics.

Your future responsibilities
You’ll join Data Warehouse & BI, where we are delivering the future Data & Analytics platforms and solutions for Nordea Wholesale Banking. We deliver on multiple data platforms (Oracle & Spark/MapR) as well as on many enterprise and self-service data integration and analytical platforms.
What you’ll be doing:
- Actively demonstrating focus on business requirements and understanding of the complete BI/analytics delivery value chain
- Back-end / Data Warehouse development (MapR/Oracle)
- Data Streaming/integration/ETL development: Spark, Datastage, Talend
- End2end solution engineering
The role is based in Gdansk. We have an amazing office with a view of the sea. Your profile and background:
- 5+ years’ experience in Data & analytics as developer/engineer
- Experience with Trading/Capital Markets is a big advantage
- Higher education in IT
- Very strong knowledge about Data Warehousing, Analytics and streaming technologies
Experience in one or more of the following technologies:
- Spark, Kafka
Preferred but not mandatory:
- Power BI
- QlikView / QlikSense
- Experience as a Scrum Master
