As Senior QA Engineer you’ll join the Customer Release QA team in Personal Banking Digital & Design DevTestOps unit and play an important part in implementing and ensuring quality assurance in dozens of business-critical applications across the bank. You’ll be responsible for end to end testing of new customer experiences and features including to regression testing for existing functionalities. The primary duties include test analysis as well as developing test scenarios and test scripts and test execution.
Customer Release QA team is a part of the DevTestOps unit in Nordea Personal Banking, which is accountable for developing new state-of-the-art digital solutions to our customers, maintaining existing digital solutions and operating underlying IT platforms and applications.
Being a part of Customer Release QA means that you will work in a diverse, highly international environment with ambitious people, working in an agile software development framework (SAFe), determined to reach our common goal; to deliver the best digital customer experience to Nordea customers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reviewing and analyzing business requirements and system designs
- Designing, creating and maintaining both manual and automated test cases
- Executing tests on component, integration and system level
- Reporting defects and helping developers with the debugging when needed
- Within CRQA, we use tools such as TestRail, Cucumber, CA Agile Central, Confluence, Splunk, GIT and Jenkins. Previous work experience with these tools is a strong advantage but not a requirement
The role is based in Gdynia, Poland. Welcome to a global team with colleagues in the Nordic countries – based in city of Helsinki, Oulu, Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen.

You are highly experienced in testing and quality assurance methodologies, test tools and best practices. The role requires a profound knowledge and understanding of agile software development and you have already worked with software testing for several years.
You have a high level of technical skills in various IT environments as our system portfolio consists of infrastructure applications running in a very complex environment on mainframes, UNIX and Windows. On top of that, you also have adequate knowledge of web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures) and front-end solutions (e.g. applications on iOS/Android).
You enjoy working in a high-performing team and due to our international and cross-country environments; you are open to limited travel within the Nordic region.
- You have a good understanding of system test of complex systems (banking domains is a major advantage too and general knowledge of Netbank and Mobile banking applications)
- You are systematic and have strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- You enjoy taking responsibility and you can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- You have experience of modern Test Automation Frameworks
- You are a fast learner and a problem solver with an optimistic approach to challenges
- You are friendly and outgoing with excellent communication skills, and you’re fluent in English
