Linux Administrator in Application Maintenance, Gdańsk

We are looking for a Linux Administrator to join team consisting of 4 people, which are responsible for maintenance of banking applications in Production environment. You should have conceptual way of thinking and eagerness to learn. You need to be able to work independently in operations in analytical way with attention to the details. Straightforward communication is a must. This is an opportunity for you to to learn banking applications and take ownership of their support.
Your daily routine will include managing banking environments Proprod and Prod and support them as well as meetings with Business and Developers. You will work with professional IT solutions like Bamboo, Tomcat/Weblogic, Solaris/Linux, Monitoring Tools, Bash.

The offer

You’ll join team supporting BackOffice banking applications, where we are doing our best to run the bank. We working closely in Projects with Developers and Business in Poland and Nordics.
What you’ll be doing:  
  • Provide Application 2nd line support on server platforms
  • Process automation
  • Deployments of new versions of software
  • Develop and react on the warnings and alerts from monitoring system
  • Work with Infrastructure and Operations as well as Application Development teams to develop, implement and control applications
  • Follow ITIL processes
  • Contribute to team's Knowledge Management System, documentation
  • Manage relationships with business and IT peers

Your profile and background:
  • English on B2 level minimum
  • Knowledge of Solaris/Linux System Red Hat, certificates are not required but we are looking for passion and willingness to learn
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent level in experience
  • SQL knowledge (Oracle/PLSQL will be an asset, other SQL accepted)
  • Knowledge of how to create documentation (Confluence, Atlassian stack, SharePoint)
  • Basic knowledge of administration Windows Server 2012, running scripts, file mgmt.
  • Good to have: ITIL process knowledge at least to know what is incident
