The offer

 
As a Test Automation Engineer you will be working using agile processes in small teams with close relationships to the business. This is a good opportunity for a skilled test engineer to participate and contribute to redesign of the whole system, implement your ideas and see them in action. 
 
In Core Services and Risk IT unit, we are currently building high performance systems which are responsible for Risk Management across all of Nordea Group. Modern risk management imposes a lot of challenges – systems are required to be highly scalable, reactive and capable. Our systems operate with millions of events and terabytes of data. They use thousands of grid cores and produce billions of records.  
 
We are now under transformation and redesign towards a service-oriented approach using loosely coupled services, asynchronous communication and resilient design. We use core java, microservices approach, in-memory grids and streaming systems to achieve maximum performance and scalability.  
 
What you’ll be doing:   
  • Writing and maintaining tests for variety of platforms, systems and integrations,   
  • Designing, developing and coding scripts for automation testing   
  • Ensuring that quality standards are adhered to during the development process   
  • Implementing end-to-end test automation, including performance and load testing   
  • Building new and improving existing test automation frameworks (i.e. make them faster, more flexible and easier to use)

Your background: 
  • 3+ years’ experience in software testing with practical knowledge of automated UI testing and test frameworks 
  • Skills for writing and executing test cases and experience in functional and non-functional test activities 
  • Good knowledge about Software Development Life Cycle, testing methods, procedures, documentation and tools 
  • Software development skills – Java, Docker, scripting like Python, bash etc. 
  • Eagerness to work along with the developers’ team to prepare a proper testing approach ensuring high quality and agile mindset  
  • Teamwork and communication skills (communicative English - spoken and written) 
  • If you do not already have good capital markets domain knowledge, you will be required to acquire that within reasonable time
