Nordea Markets is the leading international capital markets’ operator and investment banking partner in the Nordic and Baltic Sea regions.  At the beginning of 2016 we have opened a new Application Operations Centre office in Poland, Tricity. Our ambition is to become a leading Trading Technology IT Operations unit with top quality specialists.

The offer

We are looking to hire outstanding individuals to join our team of IT Analysts in Nordea Trading Technology unit. As an IT Analyst, you will be responsible for the Support, Maintenance, deployment and automation for a variety of applications. You will be sharing, advising, and educating others on sound design principles related to reliable operations and deployment of our software. 
Moreover, you will be working closely with members of the infrastructure, Business and Development teams you will facilitate top-notch delivery and support of services. You will lead initiatives within the team that will help us on the path of Continual Service Improvement (CSI). 
An IT Analyst is the technical subject matter expert on all application-related aspects of designing, testing, operating and improving IT services. In this position, you will be responsible for operating the IT organization's applications and for ensuring operational stability and focus on cost-effectiveness. 
What you will be doing: 
  • Application Management:  
  • Providing ongoing support and improvement of applications’ and services’ reliability,  
  • Managing technical integrity, upgrades, releases and deployments of the applications,  
  • Ensuring updated application documentation in the CMDB and Knowledge Management System (KMS),  
  • Following Nordea’s incident, problem and change management processes, and ensuring that all are correctly registered in Remedy,  
  • Being responsible for Continual Service Improvements through the improvement backlog,  •Following the compliance requirements as defined by the company policy,  
  • Identifying skills required to support the applications, and making sure that the employees’ knowledge is up-to-date,  
  • Managing relationships with between business and IT peers.

The qualifications you need:
  • Great communication skills 
  • Proactive approach towards problem solving 
  • Operating System knowledge (Windows, Linux, Unix) 
  • Database Knowledge (Oracle, SQL -you are able to compose select queries with joins, insert/update/delete statements. Understanding of Stored Procedures / Triggers / Indexes) 
  • ITIL and knowledge of processes 
  • Knowledge and practical experience of in event monitoring 
  • Deployment of client packages using automated tools 
  • Scripting knowledge (VBS, Powershell, etc) 
  • Jira SharePoint, and Java experience 
  • Experience with FTP or other means of transferring data (would be an advantage)
