Optimization Data analyst for one of the biggest banks in Europe, Warsaw or Lodz

When joining the Transaction Monitoring team as Optimization Data analyst you have a challenging and exciting job ahead of you. In this role, you will work towards both business and IT in identifying, analyzing and defining solutions for scenario optimizations and solution improvements.  
The Continuous Improvements team is responsible for improving Nordea’s automated transactions monitoring 
solutions and the processes around them. It is our strong belief that organizations have a vital responsibility towards the society’s well-being and we strive to be a global leader within the field, and stay ahead of the game, by ensuring that compliance regulations are met. 
You will be working from one of our offices in Warsaw or Lodz and our team consist +20 people, and we are a cross functional team working globally – for that reason you should be able to do regular Nordic travels.

The position we offer

As Optimization Data analyst, you will team up with highly specialized people and collaborate with both business and IT. With a genuine curiosity, you will take ownership of building high quality solutions, and by utilizing your technical skills and business understanding you establish strong communication with your stakeholders. 
For the right candidate, position in Continuous Improvements team can open possibilities for development in other areas of interest and possible carrier within Nordea. Nordea provides Onboarding program for all newly employed personal to enable qualitative and fast introduction.
Your focus areas will include:
◾ Analysis and identification of optimization possibilities for implemented scenarios 
◾ Identifying and driving improvements of the current Financial Anticrime platform and processing support tools 
◾ Management of data quality, mappings, and sourcing 
◾ Participating in development activities 
◾ Supporting incident handling as a process specialist 
◾ Improvement of processes and supporting documentations 
◾ Staying up-to-date on the latest trends in AML/CTF and the regulatory environment.  

The qualifications you need

We are looking for colleagues who share our motivation for working in a dynamic and sometimes hectic environment, where standards are high and where deadlines can be short. 
To succeed in this role, we believe that your previous experience and skills include:  
  • A couple of years of relevant work experience, IT or investigation related work 
  • A Bachelor degree in a technical discipline, Business/Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics, Data analysis 
  • Excellent skills in written and spoken English  
When it comes to your personal competencies, we believe that:
  • You are communicative and used to navigate in a large organization. 
  • You have a proactive and positive mind-set and comfortable handling parallel tasks/projects. 
  • You are thorough, analytical and able to navigate in a highly complex area. 
  • You are eager to learn more about the regulatory area.   
It would be beneficial – but is not a prerequisite – if you have previous experience with AML/CTF matters, as well as experience from the banking or financial sector.
