The offer

As Release Manager, you have the exciting role of leading the release process end-to-end, from planning of the release scope through to deploying the changes into the production environment. You will be working in a team with four existing Release Managers ensuring the integrity of the live environment is protected and the correct components are released.
As a Release Manager, you will be coordinating releases across multiple disciplines and technologies, focusing on change tracking, release scope management and delivering quality solutions to production. 
At Nordea, you will join a team of dedicated Release Managers supporting each other, sharing knowledge and experience to continuously learn and improve the release management process. 

What you’ll be doing:
  • Plan, coordinate and manage all release activities 
  • Publish and maintain the Release Calendar  
  • Communicate the Release criteria and ensure the criteria is met.  
  • Manage Release Notes, approvals and pre-/post- release verification activities.
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect the release scope, schedule and quality. 
  • Confirm the release deployment plan is followed and all release deliverables have been completed
  • Manage the integrated Release Candidate and ensure quality criteria is preserved 
  • Publish pre- and post- release communication. 
  • Continually work towards improving the Release process 
  • Collect feedback on the process (e.g. covering process flow, available instructions, tools and training) and suggest improvements to the processesSet focus on automation and high quality in deliveries

Your background:

  • Previously worked with Release, Deployment, Change or similar IT processes/methods 
  • ITIL Foundation certificate required 
  • Hands on experience using Atlassian JIRA suite required 
  • SAFe or other similar Frameworks/Methodologies experience beneficial 
  • Excellent communication skills in English – listening, verbal and written 
  • Experience with configuration management
