Team Leader in Wholesale Banking Operations Department (Capital Markets Area)
 
who will take an active role in further stable growth of the organisation by acting as an effective leader of others. Asset & Capital Services and Transactions Services as a part of Wholesale Banking Operations Department are responsible for settlement and safekeeping of securities. Department covers a wide range of Capital Markets, Money Markets, Forex products which includes but is not limited to bonds; equities, commercial papers, certificates of deposit, repos, derivatives. Cash transactions as well as securities finance. 
 

The position we offer

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for: 
  • Leading a team of approx. 15 employees according to Nordea values by presenting strong leadership competences 
  • Delivering efficient operations and quality service based on agreed KPIs and driving functional expertise 
  • Optimising processes and facilitating continuous improvements 
  • Establishing and maintaining strong partnership relations within local organization and with Nordic stakeholders 
  • Holding direct reports accountable for their performance by providing feedback, coaching and assessment 
  • Identifying talent; supporting development and growth of your direct reports 
  • Selecting high performing team members and building the team 
  • Building atmosphere of trust and cooperation between team members 

The qualifications you need

  • Documented experience in people management 
  • Bachelor or Master degree (finance and economics areas are preferred) 
  • Experience from financial market area will be a strong advantage 
  • Very good command of English, spoken and written 
  • Very strong skills in building partnership relations with stakeholders 
  • Ability to communicate effectively 
  • Focus on delivering high quality service to customers 
  • Willingness to expand knowledge and develop own leadership competences 
  • Solution oriented, can-do approach in dealing with challenges
  • Experience in SSC/BPO sector will be an asset
