Automation Expert – Batch Operation & Infrastructure, Gdynia

Operations Automation Management unit plays a fundamental role in running the operational batch environments for Nordea business application and systems.  
Together with “Nordea Business IT” Batch Automation team code, implement and schedule batch and part of applications releases into production.  Automation Operations has the overall responsible for Nordea’s batch & workload automation scheduling tool.  
We are 15 employees located in DK, Sweden & Poland  
We are going through a transformation phase where Automation and Simplification is the key in order to meet business demands.   

The position we offer

As part of the Automation team you will:  
  • Enable Operations Automation to satisfy our customers with early and continuous delivery of valuable and high quality support that drives business performance.  
  • Design, code, implement, document and test highly effective applications, applying outstanding technical competence to fulfill business and IT requirements, with regards to scalability, functional and non-functional requirements.  
  • Share documentation and relevant knowledge with the rest of the team enabling stable operations.  
  • Work out and maintain necessary instructions concerning emergency procedures, recovery plans, re-runs and job documentation. 
  • Responsible for successful and efficient implementations/scheduling on win/linux/Unix. 

The qualifications you need

To become a success in this position it is important, that you have:  
  • Basic knowledge in either Unix/Linux/Win platforms,  
  • Have knowledge how to operate with SQL, Oracle, 
  • Scripting skills,  
  • Good English skills. 
  • Web/JMS/FTP service knowledge,        
  • Databases, 
  • Mix of programming & automation scheduling skills, 
  • Be part of an operational team and are able to work outside office hours if required. 
You are a team player and used to share your knowledge as well as actively challenge you colleagues. You take responsibility and enjoy driving the execution of tasks to their completion.  
You are capable of mixing maintenance issues and projects. You are used to communicate with both IT and business people. 
Finally, an optimistic approach and “can-do” attitude are invaluable assets in order to make you a great match to our team.
